39

Robert turned 39yrs. old a couple of days ago. We were able to go to a movie and dinner to celebrate. We also had birthday brownie sundaes.

Robert still serves in the Elders Quorum presidency in our ward.
He is still working for the federal government and just returned from a week long work trip to DC. He'd love to leave the feds and get a job somewhere else, but no immediate plans. It's hard to beat the pay and benefits in this economy.
He still loves his favorite Argentine futbol club, Racing. He has a big Racing following on Twitter. Recently, the President of the Racing club actually started following him on Twitter! He helps out with Bruce's soccer practices and games as much as he can.
He has kept up on working out and goes at least 6 times a week.

We love Robert.
KaDee- I love Robert because he makes me laugh and he loves his family and the Lord.
Bruce- I love dad because he's nice and he works hard for us.
Linda- I love dad because I like his smile. He's always got that big old smile.
Jane- I love dad because he plays soccer with me and he coached my team.
Claire- I love daddy because he's nice to me and he feeds me.

Bruce's 11yr. Stats

Bruce has been wanting to get his stats recorded so that he can compare how much he will grow during his middle school years. He had his 11yr. old physical last week. So, here's where he stands at the start of middle school.

Height: 5ft. 0in.    75th percentile
Weight: 83lbs.      50th percentile
BMI: 19
The Dr. said his BMI is right on point.
He also got 2 shots. It's been a long time since he's had to have any. He's a healthy kid.

First Day of School 2014

Well, it's official, we have a child in middle school! Bruce headed to the 6th grade today. I was pretty anxious all day for him to get home and tell me how it went. He came home very happy. He liked his classes and managed to find all of his classes. I can breath easier now, and I think Bruce is going to have a  great year.
The girls were very happy to start school again. Claire was especially excited and got up and dressed on her own this morning. They came home happy and each of them seems to like their teachers. Claire is in school full days now.
Linda 5th Grade
Linda has the teacher that Bruce had last year.
 Jane 3rd Grade
Is it just me or does Jane's teacher look like an old lady version of her.
Claire 1st Grade
Claire couldn't figure out why her teacher was squatting down to take the picture, so she decided to join her and squat as well. :)

Jane's Baptism August 16, 2014

Jane was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints the evening of her birthday. It was so nice and we are so proud of Jane. Aunt Jill gave the baptism talk and her primary teacher, Sister Cooper, gave the talk about the Holy Ghost. Grandpa Thompson and Uncle Gregg were witnesses. It was such a happy occasion.

Arrow of Light

Bruce received his Arrow of Light award and graduated on to 11yr. old Scouts. He has had great leaders. His leader said that Bruce received more awards than any other Cub Scout he's ever had.
