Aunt Cyndi's Wedding

Robert's little sister, Cyndi got married in the Newport Beach temple this past weekend. This is the last sibling on both sides to get married. They were sealed at noon, then had a family lunch, then that evening had a reception. It was a long day, but a nice one. On the way home Bruce's feet were killing him and he said, "Do we ever have to go to another wedding?" He was relieved when I said no. Here's Cyndi and our new brother-in-law and uncle, David Bennett.
We didn't take many pics, but here are the girls dancing at the reception. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Bruce's 8yr. old/baptism pics

Bruce is turning 8yrs. old in a few weeks. One of my little regrets I had was not getting professional pictures done with my kids when they were blessed as babies. So, since Bruce will be getting baptized I thought I'd document the occasion. I think it turned out great. (Obviously, a picture of a picture is never as clear.)
 Love, love, love this boy.

3 Year Stats

Claire had her 3yr. check up today. I think her favorite part of the visit was peeing in a cup. She thought that was pretty funny. :) She had one shot and a finger prick. She is healthy and strong!
Weight: 30lbs.  (45th percentile)
Height: 38.5" (81st percentile)

Bike Rider #3

Jane is riding a two wheel bike now. I guess her prayers were answered. She literally prayed at dinner the other night that she could ride a two wheeler. :) It's been good to have this little bike so that they're not afriad of falling. This weekend we're taking the training wheels off of her big bike and getting her used to the new height. It will be fun to have a family bike ride to the beach one of these days. Jane has been really determined to ride this bike and put a lot of effort in to it.

Arthritis Update

Jane is doing really well right now. This past winter I was offered the option of a much stronger medication but Robert and I just never felt good about it. So, we kept her on her current meds and she is doing well with it. She seems to always do better in the summertime when the weather is the warmest. Last summer, she did really well, but when Fall and Winter hit she was in a lot of pain. We're crossing our fingers that she keeps feeling well and that she is growing out of her condition.
I took her in for her eye specialist appointment today. Along with JRA is often a condition with the eyes. She has perfect vision and her eyes looked great. :)

It's interesting to see all the looks I get when I show up places with all 4 of the kids. :)

3rd Birthday Party

Claire has been very excited for her birthday. This is the first year that she could really understand what was happening. She was very specific when she told us she wanted a pink cake, with pink frosting, and sprinkles. Claire was happy to help add the sprinkles to the cake.
We met Grandpa Thompson at his house this afternoon and he gave us a ride out to Bates Nut Farm in his motor home. Uncle Scott, Aunt Ginger and her cousins Robert, Sam, Emily & James met us out there.
Claire got a bike, some toys, and her own backpack.
She wasn't even scared of her candles this year. :)
Grandpa made hotdogs and we had a nice lunch and the kids looked at all the animals.
Claire had a happy birthday.

Happy Birthday Claire!

I love you Claire. I can't believe it's been 3 years already! I thank heaven every day that you came to our family.  You were worth all of the pain. :)

4th of July

While we were out in Palm Desert, CA we got to celebrate the 4th of July. We missed daddy while we were there. My mom, me, and the kids went to the fireworks show near the college there. It was a great show. It was around 104degrees outside. Thanks for going with us mom! The kids loved the show. Claire was scared at first but then liked them by the end.

Meeting Irene

The kids and I traveled to Palm Desert this past weekend so the kids could their baby cousin, Irene. They were so excited to see her!  Every time Claire prays she says, "Bless baby Irene come out of Sue-Sue's tummy." :) The kids could not believe how tiny she was.
They got to help give her a bath...and they asked ALL day long when that bath would be. :)
They each got to hold her...me included. :)
Claire always had the slightest grin while holding her. She liked to point out each tiny body part. I'm sure she was thinking of all of the tricky things she'll teach her when she gets older. :)
Jane just kept saying, "She's sooo cute."
Linda is just a natural mother. She loved taking care of her and getting her clothes and diapers and things.
Bruce loves his cousin. He said he was more excited to see her than the fireworks.
