Birthday Destination

Linda chose to go to Disneyland for her birthday destination. Linda and I went a couple of days before her birthday. We had a great time! We were there from open to close. Her favorite ride was Indiana Jones. We met Anna and Elsa, almost every other princess, got snowed on, rode a lot of rides,  saw a parade, and watched awesome fireworks. Aunt Sue, Uncle Andy, and Irene met us there. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Activity Days

Linda and Jane are in a church program together that's called Activity Days. They meet twice a month and do some kind of craft or activity. It's fun to see them be friends and go together. They have a lot of fun.
Here's their group when they were out for frozen yogurt.

Happy Birthday To Linda!

Linda turned 10yrs. old today! I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday that she was a little, chubby cheeked toddler running around the house. :) Linda is a beautiful person in every way. I love her compassion for others, her quiet confidence, and her ability to find joy in the everyday moments in life. Linda has been a light in our lives since the moment we saw her.

Student of the Week - Class Representative

Jane was chosen as Student of the Week this week. She was chosen because of her ability to always speak kindly and positively to others.
We love Jane and we're so proud of her!
Jane being recognized at her school assembly. Below is Jane with her teacher.
Jane was also voted in by her classmates to be the class representative for Student Counsel. Easiest election ever. No posters or anything. :) She had fun working with Linda at the Student Store the other day and seeing her at the student counsel meeting.

Election Results

Well, election results were announced at a school assembly today and....Linda WON!!!
Introducing
President Linda Thompson
We're so proud of her. She had so much courage to run. She'll do an excellent job.

Linda's Presidential Campaign

Linda was 2nd Vice President at her elementary school last year. This year she decided to run for President. She ran a good campaign. Three students were running for President. It was Linda against two boys.

Here are the posters she put up around campus. The blue and green borders are glittery.

She got to make stickers to hand out. Since 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders can vote, Jane handed out stickers to 3rd graders and Linda covered the 4th and 5th graders. Of course, Claire didn't want to be left out so she insisted on wearing a LINDA THOPMSON FOR PRESIDENT sticker to school as well.
Yesterday Linda had her campaign speech in front of the school. She is so brave and did awesome!
Here she is with her friend that is running for Vice President.
She did a great job on her campaign. Tomorrow we get the results. We'll be happy either way.
