Milestone for Linda

Linda's bottom two teeth have been loose for a long time, long enough for her two adult teeth to grown in right behind them...exactly like Bruce's did. Tonight while I was flossing her tooth I gave it a little tug and one of them came out. Her reaction was not what I was expecting.
She had a total meltdown and cried her eyes out...especially when she saw the blood...but mostly because it just panicked her that her tooth had come out. She calmed down and managed to be happy about it later. But, she vowed that the Tooth Fairy would never get it.
Here she is before bedtime with her tooth in a baggie and her note to the Tooth Fairy.
The front of the note reads,
"Can you give me money or a toy if I even keep my tooth. Love, Linda"
Here's the 2nd page to that note.
"I wonte(won't) give you my tooth."
She went to bed with the note under her pillow and her tooth hidden in her dresser drawer.
She's not taking any chances. :)

Anniversary Trip 2011

Robert and I got back tonight from a great anniversary trip. We stayed in Long Beach, CA but we went all over Burbank, Hollywood, Santa Monica, San Pedro, Anaheim, and Los Angeles. Unfortunately, our pictures didn't turn out very clear. :( One day I'll invest in a really nice camera.

We went on a dinner/dance cruise on the Spirit. The food was great and it was really relaxing. Good music and good company. It left out of San Pedro and took us over to Long Beach and back.
We went to a live taping of Conan. We're big Conan fans. He was hilarious, and it was a really fun experience. We didn't have tickets so you can see us below hanging out waiting for standby tickets.
Proof that we got in!
Trust me, it's us. :)
We went to a play...
We went to the new visitors center at the LA temple. I took this picture. The visitors center was really nice. It reminded me a lot of the DC temple visitors center.
A picture of Robert and I outside of our hotel in Long Beach.
We went to an Anaheim Ducks hockey game. It was so much fun. Don't let this pic fool you. It was a sold out crowd and by the time it started it was packed in there. The Ducks won and secured a place in the playoffs. It's been a long time since I've been to a hockey game. It's a fun sport to watch.
While Robert and I had a great time away, our kids had a great time with  my family in the desert. They flied kites, went to Chuck E Cheese, had 3 days of gymnastics camp, watched movies, played games and had a fabulous time.

Ninth Wedding Aniversary

It's hard to believe it's already been nine years! I could not have picked a better husband than Robert. In the past nine years, we have had four beautiful children and countless adventures. At the time in my life when I met Robert, I was at a point where I was done compromising and done trying to be good enough for someone. I decided that I was a good person and that I was going to get everything I ever wanted in a husband. Robert is everything I've always wanted, with no compromise. When I met Robert for the first time, I knew he was supposed to be part of my life. I didn't know how big a part he'd be, but I remember thinking that I'd be sad if I wasn't at least friends with this guy. Turns out, we are the best of friends and will be friends FOREVER. :)
I love you Robert. Happy Anniversary.

Bruce 3 goals & 1 assist

Bruce scored 3 goals in his soccer game this morning, and an assist. We managed to capture 2 of the goals and the assist on video. On the video you see Bruce score his first goal, next is his assist to his teammate, and finally Bruce's second goal. Bruce is #7 on the silver team.

Open House

On Wednesday we went to Bruce and Linda's open house at their elementary school. They were excited to show us around their classrooms and show us some of the projects they have completed this year. Next year we'll have three classes to visit!
Here's Bruce with his teacher, Mrs. Garrison.
Here's Linda with her teacher, Mrs. Briggs.
Linda's class performed a song, The Three Little Pigs. They looked great in their sunglasses. :) Linda was center stage.
Robert and I are really happy with how much Bruce and Linda have learned this year.
