Mother/Daughter

The Activity Days program at our church had a Mother/Daughter pajama party for girls that are 8-11yrs. or turning 8yrs. old this year. Since Linda turns 8 in November, we got to go! Linda was looking forward to this for weeks. It was nice to have a night out with my oldest daughter. She is so special.
It was fun going to the church building in our pajamas!!
Everyone brought a blanket to sit on.
They had dinner for us. We made cookies, bracelets, barrettes and stationary.
It was a fun evening together. I asked Linda if she liked it and she said, "No, I LOVED it."  :)

My Little Pony

Claire has joined the Little Ponies soccer program. This is the first sport/activity that Claire has been involved in. She was so excited to have something that was all her own. Look at her go!!
She is the only girl in her little group. She did so well at following instructions and was just so excited to be there. Grandpa came and watched which made it an extra special occasion. Claire would come over to the sideline and say, "Coach said to get a drink." Super cute. She had fun and she has one proud daddy. :)

CLAIRE rhymes with HAIR!

I think it's ironic that Claire's name rhymes with hair! The girl is always having some kind of issue with her hair. Last year she developed the habit of twisting her hair when she is bored or tired. This results in her pulling clumps of it out which causes a lot of short hairs on her head.
Then, in January she walks in to the room looking like this! She cut her bangs off all the way to the root. I was really upset but nothing I could do except pull her little bangs back in a pony or stick a hat on her. She was looking crazy. :)
So, it's March and her bangs have grown considerably. I still get comments from people asking me if she cut it so it's still not there yet.
Well, this girl walks in two days ago and she did it again!! I don't even know how she found the scissors. This girl is going to give me grey hair!
Claire I'm posting these pics so as to embarrass you in the future. :) Guess I'll have to put off family pictures....again.

Bulldogs

Robert is coaching Bruce's rec. soccer team for the Spring. He really enjoys coaching and it's fun to watch him out there doing what he loves...which is ANYTHING that has to do with soccer. :) Bruce loves having his dad as coach and they stay busy at home talking strategy and doing drills. It's great to see my boys having so much fun together. The boys are doing well and Robert has had a lot of positive feedback from they parents on his coaching. Go Bulldogs!!

Pinewood Derby

Bruce had his first Pinewood Derby. He had a lot of fun. I love his leaders. They keep everything so laid back,  but always nice and organized. Most importantly, they make the boys feel great about themselves. Bruce came in 6th place. We've got big plans to come back even stronger next year. :)
They made these cute treats for the boys.

President Week

The kids got a week off of school for President's Day. It was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed sleeping in. One of our favorite events of the week was going to the tide pools in Carlsbad...
The kids love looking for treasures here and seeing the ocean floor. They found lots of shells, Bruce even found a sand dollar.
We also had fun going out to Palm Desert for a couple of days to visit Grandma Linda and the Suitor fam.
The kids love taking gymnastics classes at Aunt Sue-Sue's gym.
(Jane and Linda are in the 2nd row over in the back.)
But, we especially love playing with Irene!
