Random Stuff

Bruce was a server at the church Relief Society dinner. It's still blowing my mind that he's so old.
Jane holding baby Evylin. We love that happy baby.
Linda shaved her legs for the first time! :)
Claire has been having fun at tennis lessons once a week.
We hiked the Hollywood hills. We forgot our water bottles and so we had to stop before making it to the sign. Next time! They were filming  a tv show or movie up in the hills.
Linda did great at her orchestra concert this week. She's come a long way. We're proud of her.

Purple Panthers

We signed Jane up for basketball and she ended up really loving it! She never wants to miss a practice or game. She made quite a few baskets and really improved. She'd tell her coach to please not take her out when they were on time outs. :) She's done really well this season and had so much fun.

SBA Dinner

Robert and I never get to go out to work dinners or parties because he works for the federal government. So we were happy to be invited to a nice work dinner that Robert's dad was in charge of. It was a much needed night out, and the kids absolutley LOVE when Grandma Thompson comes to babysit. We were sitting with very accomplished and wealthy people. Our claim to fame was that our father-in-law/father was the president. :)

37 years old

Well, I turned 37 last month. It seems crazy that I'm getting so close to 40!
Robert took the day off of work and we spent the day in La Jolla at Birch Aquarium and walking along the beach. We finished with lunch before the kids got home from school. Robert and the kids each painted a canvas for me for my birthday. Robert got me a much needed new phone.
It was such a nice day spent with my best friends, my family.

New Beginnings

Linda, Robert and I attended New Beginnings last Sunday. They had a nice program and I even got to share a few words about Linda. She will be graduating from Primary to Young Womens in November. It's hard to believe. I'm glad she doesn't move up until the end of the year because I'm not quite ready. :) Linda is a wonderful girl. She is full of compassion and determination. She has a pure heart, is never afraid to try new things, and is a true friend. Linda will be a wonderful young woman. She is confident in who she is and she knows that she is a daughter of God. We love her. As our first daughter it's been fun watching her grow and mature in to a great young woman. She is leading the way for her little sisters and is doing a wonderful job.
