Buenos Aires, Argentina

After many, many years Robert made it back to Argentina!
He flew in to Buenos Aires via LAX and Mexico City.
 His luxury accommodations. :)
He was really hoping to get a ticket to see his favorite soccer team Racing Club play and he was actually able to get a ticket!!!
"I went to but the ticket and they only took pesos, and I didn't have enough. So this Racing fan took me on his motorcycle to an ATM."
Wish I could've been there to see that. :)
 The Stadium
Robert went and bought himself a jersey before the game.
"I got a jersey for the game tonight. The guy liked my story, and took a lot off and threw in a decal for the car and a couple stickers."
"I was glad I was there to see it. And the stadium sang "thank you for the championship, that joy we'll never forget"
Robert said the trip was worth it to go to the game. He even got knocked down in a mosh pit. Yikes.

Violin

Linda has been in taking orchestra at school this year. She plays the violin. She has really improved over the course of the year. It's been fun to attend her concerts. Next week she will be in a big concert that includes some of the other elementary schools and also the high school. We hope to get her some private lessons in the summer. She has signed up for orchestra next school year at the middle school.
Here she is before a concert. They have to wear black and white.

Patient Care Aid

This year I decided I wanted to go back to school. I've always wondered how I'd like the medical field so I tried out the Patient Care Aid class at Vista Adult School to see how I liked it. It was one night a week for 4hrs. a class. It was also a little test to see how I could handle homework and being gone one night a week and still manage the kids and everything going on with them. It was a great class. I learned a lot of skills that will help me to help people, whether they're recovering from surgery or elderly. I don't plan on being a Patient Care Aid(Home Health Aid) for a career but I loved going to class and learning about our bodies. It was nice to have some friends at school and to be learning. I finally got my certificate and my skill certifications from the school today.

Another One Bites the Dust

Well, another one bites the dust. Linda got her first pair of glasses this week. Unlike Bruce and I, Linda only needs to wear her glasses when trying to see the board or when having trouble seeing things far away. She looks great and she was excited to use them for the first time at school today.

First Rodeo

Robert and I took the kids to their first rodeo this past weekend. It was Robert's third rodeo. I've been to a lot of rodeos growing up. The kids really liked it, especially the bull riding. Jane was especially enthralled by everything. She's a country girl at heart. The only mistake we made was not wearing sunscreen! We were all a little burnt afterwards. I thought it was an indoor arena. It turns out that it's really hot at 2:30pm in Lakeside, CA. Next year we'll go to the one in the evening.
