So Far This Summer...

We haven't had any major events so far this summer, but we've been enjoying our time out of school and have managed to have a lot of fun. We've been busy at birthday parties, the beach, swimming, reading programs, volunteering at the school garden, having visitors from out of town, play dates, and doing some fun things. Here are a few pictures. We have a lot of summer events coming up that we're looking forward to!

6th grade complete

Bruce finished up his first year of middle school with an awards ceremony. He received an award for getting a 4.0 the entire year, the Excellence Award in Humanities, Subject Awards in Science & Math, and the Millionaire Readers Award for reading over 1.5 million words this school year.
We're very proud of how hard he worked this year.

First and Last Day

Here's Linda on her first day of elementary school and on her last. Since she has a birthday very late in the year, she is 4 years old in the first picture. She started in preschool but because we moved in the middle of the school year and CA had a later start date, she was able to take Kindergarten for the rest of the year in California. She started in Fairfax, VA and finished up in Oceanside, CA. Linda attended 5 different elementary schools.

Cordoba, Argentina

Robert spent the last two days of his trip in Cordoba, Argentina where he served his mission years ago. He visited with families he had know and members he had baptized.

The kids in the Ghione family made this sign for Robert. They are studying English in school so they wrote it in English. So sweet.
"Welcome in my house. My house is your house."
The dinner they made for Robert. He's been missing Argentine meat.
